"The only time I’ve been to Wales and i visit an abandoned Asylum"
It had been a while since i had visited an Asylum so it was time to change that. There is something about walking the corridors of these old Victorian institutions, digging about in what is left and generally soaking up the derpiness.
Wales is a beautiful place. I’d never been until this trip and i have never returned to date. What i did see from the car on the journey there was pretty nice though. Rocking up with Chauffeur, ScaryMary and Magoo in the morning, a quick squeeze under the Heras and we were all in.
Today it stands stripped, decayed and not really worth the effort to be honest. I feel pleased to have made the effort to see it in the condition we did. Clock face and workings all intact ( the flies in the bell tower are something i will never forget ) and Admin in sweet condition.
2010 was shaping up to a good start.
The Mid Wales Hospital was a psychiatric hospital in Talgarth, Wales. It opened in 1906 and was formerly known as the Brecon and Radnor Joint Asylum.
